Rookie Ian Anderson and the Atlanta bullpen made a no-hitting offer in the eighth inning and the Braves shut out the Houston Astros 2-0 to take a two-to-one World Series lead.
Astros pinch hitter Aledmys Díaz posted a starting single in the eighth to break the auction without a hitting. Left fielder Eddie Rosario appeared to hesitate and the ball fell right in front of his glove.

Austin Riley netted an RBI brace in the third against Astros starter Luis Garcia and Travis d’Arnaud knocked out Kendall Graveman in the eighth.
Anderson was called out after five innings and 76 shots with a hit intact. Reliefs AJ Minter and Luke Jackson kept Houston going without a hitting until Díaz picked Tyler Matzek.
