The big stone fell from the hearts of all Getafe players, coaches and fans, and the Madrid club finally won on the twelfth attempt. At home, he lost Espanyol, the hero of the match became Enes Ünal.
The home team flew into the match like a hurricane and spun a real carousel from the opening minutes. The introductory part was very rich in chances and in the very end it brought two more, in both of them there was Ünal and not once did he have precisely adjusted sights.
Ünal did not let himself be discouraged with a lot of failures and the second rewards were finally received in the 56th minute, Aleñá found him with a pass for the defense and Turek shot López out of the first one with a shot – 2: 1.
The home crowd cheered when, after 89 minutes, Espanyol’s charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. It didn’t have to bother him in the end, just as Getafe won’t worry about staying in the last place on the table, the first win is at home and the Madrid team has something to bounce back from.
