Iguazú (LaVozDeCataratas) The competition spanned Provincial teams made up of players from the categories over 30, over 40 and over 50 years old, supervised by the Feminine Federation of Maxibásquet Argentina. Teams from Formosa and Corrientes also participated.
The team began training two months ago “we joined a group that had not played for more than 30 years, such as Liliana Armoa, Sonia Villalba, Liliana Domínguez, and now other girls have joined,” Fanny Rivero, a member of the team, told LaVozdeCataratas. “We played four games this weekend, we are happy, we have already formed the Missionary Federation”
The Vanguardia Foundation has been working for the recovery of women’s basketball in the province and this tournament is part of that path. The matches were played on the courts of the Puerto Rico Municipal Sports Center.
The trainings are from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Sports Center, and are trained by Fabio Sosa
