Jordy Harink has won the second KNSB cup of the season in Enschede. The 22-year-old marathon skater did this under the watchful eye of Sven Kramer and Jorrit Bergsma, who were not present as spectators, but also participated in the skating marathon.
And that while the NK distances in Heerenveen are also going on. The 10 kilometers are scheduled for Sunday, but that did not stop both Kramer and Bergsma from traveling to Enschede for another race.
“A marathon provides a bit more endurance than a 3 kilometer in a training race. It will not immediately give results in the short term, but hopefully it will soon,” Kramer explains his choice to the AD. “I’m now going to see how I recover from this effort and then I’ll decide what I’m going to do with the ten kilometers on Sunday.”
Kramer is therefore still unsure whether he will be at the start of the 10 kilometers on Sunday. Bergsma will certainly drive that race.
