From next Thursday, October 28 to 31, the 2nd National Tournament of the discipline in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, with the best players in each category and will have the participation of the local athlete Karina loyola.
The Barilochense was present on the first date that was also played in San Luis, where she managed to get on the podium three times. She took first place in Women’s Single and Mixed Doubles and occupied the third step of the podium in Open Single, where she reached the semifinals.
On this occasion, the event will take place at the “José María Gatica” Municipal Sports Palace. It will have competition for athletes of short stature and in wheelchairs, and it will also have exhibitions of the modalities for deaf athletes and athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The national team of Paraddy has been doing joint activities since July. Loyola was a local representative at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in athletics, shot put and discus, among other several high-level international tournaments that he played with the Argentine team. In 2019 he decided to change discipline and began to train Badminton and participate in regional and national competitions, now he seeks to get among the best in the discipline and dream of another international representation.
