They appeared to be engaged in a light-hearted conversation as Kanye smiled throughout and sat in a relaxing manner. As they both got up to leave after lunch, two half-full iced coffees could still be seen on the table. It’s unclear what the power duo’s meeting was all about, but it could mean something big is brewing for both of them.
Kanye’s meeting with Michael also took place in a Sant Ambroeus, but one on the Upper East Side of town. The lawyer is still technically under house arrest since he was convicted of financial fraud, tax evasion and lying in Congress in 2018. Although he was initially supposed to spend time in jail, he was released. in May 2020 due to coronavirus concerns.
The New York Post reported that Michael’s meeting with Kanye most likely could have happened because he had previously obtained “special permission from the BOP [Bureau of Prisons} and RRM [Residential Reentry Management] eat outside.
