Julia Krajewski and Isabell Werth nominated as NRW Sportswomen of the Year –

There is a Felix for the athlete of the year, the team of the year, the newcomer of the year, coach of the year and there is also the football Felix and the Para Sport Felix.

A jury of experts names five candidates for each category (except for trainer of the year). However, who will ultimately be able to receive the Felix on December 10th in Düsseldorf on a large scale will be decided by the audience. The election is public, everyone can cast their vote.

Equestrian sport is represented by the female athletes. Eventing rider Julia Krajewski, who was the first woman in the history of the sport to win the individual Olympic title of the “Crown of Horsemen”, as well as multi-champion Isabell Werth, who in the square in Tokyo next to team gold and silver in the Individual ranking.

The two of them are facing competition from Aline Rotter-Flocken, Olympic champion in wrestling, racing cyclist Mieke Kröger, who won Olympic gold in the team pursuit, and Anna-Maria Wagner, who became world champion in judo and won bronze at the Olympics.
