Sensitivity in the fingers is required when Karl Moser picks up the guitar as his musical alter ego “Charly Mo”. At the Veterans World Championships in Judo in Lisbon, the Loicher showed that he can grab a lot when it comes to the judo mat. Moser grabbed gold in the weight class up to 90 kilograms. “The will to achieve this has driven and motivated me over the past five years,” says the Pielachtaler, looking back on the tough preparation phases. Which have now paid off.

The newly crowned veteran world champion was duly welcomed by family and friends at the airport with posters he had made himself. Moser prevailed against the Croatian Simo Vlajic with an Ippon rating and can now be very proud of his gold medal. Countless training units in Krems, many hours in the weight room and on the mountain have paid off.
