Jonas falls in both races and 14th place in the MXGP Pietramurata stage

Latvian motorcyclist Pauls Jonass from the “Gas Gas” team took the 14th place in the MXGP class on Wednesday in the 15th stage of the World Motocross Championship – Pietramurata “Grand Prix”.

Jonas finished the first race in 17th place, but in the second he finished tenth, winning the tenth place in the overall standings.

Jonas started the first trip with a fall and the last – 31st place. During the trip we managed to climb to the 17th place.

The winner of the last three stages and the overall leader was also the unsuccessful rider, the Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings, who could not continue the ride after the fall due to the fault of the motorcycle.

The winner of the trip was the Frenchman Roman Fever, who was 1,008 seconds ahead of the Slovenians Tim Gaiser, leading the overall standings. Antonio Antonio Cairoli, the Italian, finished third with more than 25 seconds behind.

In the second race, Jonas took the tenth place in the start, ahead of the Danish Thomas Quier Olsen, but in the fifth lap he climbed even higher, ahead of the Frenchman Benouard Paturel.

However, in the eighth lap in the unsuccessful stage, the Latvian experienced another fall, falling to 13th place. The finish failed to rise above the tenth place.

In the fight for victory in the second race from the beginning to the end, Cairoli was in the lead. He was ahead of the Swiss Jeremy Siever and Gayser, while Herlings finished fourth and Fever the fifth.

In the stage, Cairoli won with 45 points, ahead of Gayser with 42 points and Fever with 41 points.

Jonas earned four points overall for the first race, but gave him 11 points for the second race. This gave the 14th place in the total.

In the overall standings of the World Championship, Herlings regained the leading position with 573 points, who is only one point ahead of Fever. There is also Gayser, who has accumulated 570 points. Jonas saved the seventh place with 391 points.
