Jesús Guzmán made a pact with the Sharks

After 13 seasons with the Caracas Lions, “El Chucho” Jesús Guzmán has a new team. The experienced slugger will be with the La Guaira Sharks this year.

Guzmán, who in general has 16 campaigns in the Venezuelan ball, made the official announcement through his Instagram account.

“I already have a new team and it’s the Sharks. I thank the organization for opening the doors to me at this crucial stage in my career, “Guzmán wrote, assuring that he will deliver 100%” on and off the field.

“(I am) grateful to the front dugout and to his great fan base, which is mine too… but now LET’S GO PA’ENCIMA,” he added.

“I come to give 100%, do what I know how to do, the little things and game situations will speak. Wherever they need me I will do my best to help the team,” he later declared for the social networks of the sharks.

Guzmán was present in the preseason of the Lions, but did not reach an agreement with the capital and was forced to look for a new ninth. At that time, he assured that this would be his farewell campaign.

In his lifetime in the LVBP, he has 574 hits, including 59 home runs, and also has 326 RBIs. He’s hitting .283 with an OPS of .803.
