A heritage of the city. The Gorizia Gymnastics Union, better known by the acronym Ugg, is a multi-sports club. Established in 1868, at different times it has been active in various disciplines, including artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, athletics, basketball, fencing, roller skating, roller hockey, judo and aikidō. The club’s social colors are blue and white. The basketball section has played several championships in the top flight and also the Ugg hockey section played for a long time in the first level tournament of the Italian championship. In 1967 the company was awarded the Golden Star for sporting merit and in 2002 the Golden Collar for sporting merit, the highest honor conferred by the Italian National Olympic Committee.

We develop our work in the historic headquarters in via Rismondo, where in addition to a fixed secretariat and a dedicated bar, sports lovers can savor the history of Gorizia’s sport through the hundreds of photos, cups, medals and plaques on the walls of the structure. . Thousands of young people have grown up in our gyms. Some of them have become leading champions, but our real pride is that we have participated in the growth and education of all the others in the name of sport and the values ​​it represents ». –
