Inspired by the Day of the Dead, Nike launches tennis collection

World.- Nike has decided to honor one of Mexico’s festivities with two pairs of tennis shoes. Through its official website, the collection “Day of the Dead, Always Family” was released, in honor of the festival that takes place on November 1 and 2.

This limited edition line had the collaboration of Mexican artists such as Teotecpatl, Dalia Xiuhcoatl, José Rivas, Oved, Bárbara Sánchez, Kane, Santiago X, Citlali Fabián.

The collection includes two pairs of tennis shoes: the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Nike Air Force 1, in a retro version. The footwear had a cost of 3 thousand 99 pesos and 2 thousand 700 pesos, respectively; however, hours after its release they sold out.

For its part, the first model has a bright print, with the ‘swoosh’ embroidered. Completely black with orange accents, the Jordan 1 Mid maintains its classic style.

The Air Force 1 also has leather details, which simulate frets from ancient Mexico and touches of suede to emulate obsidian. On the heel it has the message “Always Family”, which is the name of the collection. Nike’s famous ‘popcorn’ comes in bright colors.

It is worth mentioning that the collection includes a ‘bomber’ type jacket and closed sweatshirts. All other clothing items can be found in the official Nike online store.
