In Antwerp, Arthur Rinderknech beats Federico Delbonis, Richard Gasquet loses against Dusan Lajovic

Two French people were engaged in the first round of the ATP 250 Antwerp tournament (Belgium) on Monday. Arthur Rinderknech (65th in the ATP ranking) was opposed to the Argentinian Federico Delbonis. And the 26-year-old tricolor dominated the 40th in the world with the manner, in two sets (6-4, 6-4). Delbonis thus remains on six tournaments completed in the first round, a series which brilliantly benefited the Var.

Unfortunately, Rinderknech will not find Richard Gasquet in the next round. The other Frenchman of the day lost a hotly contested match during a set, against Serbian Dusan Lajovic. But in the second act of the meeting, Gasquet broke down, conceding his serve several times (6-7, 1-6). Today ranked 73rd in the ATP, the right-hander with the famous one-handed backhand (35) remained in a quarter-final lost against Jiri Vesely in Orléans.
