“I thought LeBron James, Wade and Bosh would come to Chicago”

The NBA was about to enter a new era in 2010. Kobe Bryant had just won with the Los Angeles Lakers but the Black Mamba was starting to age. The throne extended its arms to LeBron James and the basketball world remained suspended to the decision of the latter, free agent (unprotected) for the first time in his career.

The Cleveland Cavaliers obviously wanted to keep their prodigy son. But the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls dreamed of regaining their former glory by signing the best player in the world. It was already whispered that the King, as well as Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, free during the same off-season, thought of meeting under the same flag.

“They all three met the Bulls,” recalls Joakim noah, who had put pressure on Bosh. “When Chris came, I thought it was done, that he was going to sign. I thought Wade would come too and suddenly LeBron would follow them. “

Joakim Noah then really imagined James, Wade and Bosh with a Bulls jersey… in addition to a youngster. Derrick Rose ! Just imagine the team. Furious madness. The superstars would have had to sacrifice themselves financially but the Bulls had the space to add two contracts max. it would have given an unplayable armada.

In the end, LeBron James and his cronies went to Miami and they just crossed swords several times with combative Bulls, led by Rose and Noah in the 2011 finals in the East.
