He offered to falsify the tests, then sent the disputed drug. Perušič described the procedure of the WWTP doctor

He was the first positive Czech athlete tested on the covid-19 under the five Olympic rings in Tokyo. Now the beach volleyball player Ondřej Perušič openly described in a story for the bezfrazi.cz website what was happening behind the scenes of the Czech team after the outbreak of the infected scandal in a special flight.

Perušič, who had spent another life season with his partner David Schweiner, finished second in the finals of the World Tour, and also thought about the Olympic medal in secret.

However, in an aviation special prepared by the Czech Olympic Committee, he contracted coronavirus despite vaccination. He eventually spent key days training in quarantine at the hotel. The Czech pair lost the opening match and then in the remaining two battles they did not manage to advance from the group.

“I don’t want to criticize the whole Czech Olympic Committee, because a lot of its staff helped us immensely and they really tried to make everything easier for us. However, some things are not right and I don’t like it,” Perušič told No Phrases.

The medical team of the WWTP earned the greatest criticism from him. Not only did its members disregard hygienic regulations, but they also allegedly tried to circumvent them.

“The chief physician of the expedition, Jiří Neumann, seriously offered close contact to the infected people that he would squirt their nose with something, give him a kind of gargling and the result of the covid test would then be false negative,” said the volleyball player.

“The doctor sent me the drug isoprinosine. For a while it was unreasonably believed that it could prevent covidem-19 infection or improve immunity in patients. It has never been confirmed and it is also a drug with a number of side effects. It should not be given without prior consultation. None took place, “added Perušič.

It is said that the Czech Olympian finally arranged his release from isolation and the subsequent start in the tournament by e-mail correspondence with a Japanese doctor. No one from the Czech side then examined him.

“No one at least filmed my ECG, no one wanted to at least examine me at baseline. No one ruled out that the disease did not have dangerous consequences.

Perušič also returned to the washed-out “covid” flight with a special one sent by the WWTP. The Czech national team member noted that during the preparation for the games he tried to do a lot for his safety.

“Nevertheless, I could not deny that I did not behave one hundred percent responsibly during that incriminated flight on the Prague-Tokyo route. I probably had a veil on my mouth than most of the others, but at the same time I took it off for a while. I immediately admitted this to the journalists. I thought it was right. I was all the more saddened by the reactions of others. No one else took responsibility for their behavior. Neither Dr. Voráček nor the Czech Olympic Committee, “Perušič wondered.

The beach volleyball player does not mind the attitude of some actors. “Mr. Voráček will repeat over and over again that it is not certain that he was patient 0. He is right about that. It is certainly not. “part of the expedition to the quarantine went straight to him. He didn’t even apologize for it,” Perušič emphasized.

“I thought I would admit my mistake, and so would the others. Doctors, the Czech Olympic Committee. Then we could learn from that. It didn’t happen,” he said.

Like Perušič, beach volleyball player Markéta Nausch Sluková, her partner Barbora Hermannová, table tennis player Pavel Širuček and cyclist Michal Schlegel also lost the chance to fully compete at the Olympic Games.
