Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The Hamburg Towers can make a big jump in the basketball Bundesliga table on Friday (8.30 p.m. / Magentasport). The team of trainer Pedro Calles (6: 4 points), currently in tenth place, welcomes the second-placed Academics Heidelberg (8: 2), who would be left behind with a win.

However, the Hanseatic League has been warned. “Heidelberg has managed to keep the key players from last season together. They play on the one hand without pressure, on the other hand with a lot of motivation,” said Calles.

New signing Ray McCallum could make his debut at Hamburg. However, the former NBA pro emphasized on Thursday: “I’ve trained with the team once so far. It was very intense, but at the same time it helped me a lot to find my way into the systems.”
