What an exciting master fight we would give!
Five game days before the end of the season, the top 4 in the Swedish Allsvenskan are only one point apart. Leader of the table and defending champion Malmö FF are tied ahead of Elfsborg (worse goal difference), only one point behind are Djurgarden and AIK Solna.
Who will win the championship title in Sweden at the end is completely open. Curious: There is only a direct duel between the four top clubs. Elfsborg welcomes Solna on the penultimate matchday.
An unbelievable tension that the Bundesliga has unfortunately completely lost thanks to Bavaria’s rule. In the last two seasons, Munich were champions with a 13 point lead on second place, and in 2017/18 they were even 21 points ahead of Schalke.
In the 2018/19 season alone there was at least one duel at the top. BVB reached out for the championship trophy and traveled to Munich as the front runner on matchday 28. What happened is well known: Bayern finished Dortmund 5-0 and then did not give up first place despite two draws against Nuremberg and Leipzig. Also because Schalke of all people finally destroyed BVB’s chance for the title with a 4-2 win at home in the derby.
After all, a duel. But the Bundesliga will only be able to dream of such a close four-way battle as in Sweden …
