Good start for badminton in Aumale

Due to the pandemic, the 2020-2021 season has been interrupted for the Badminton Club ofAumale (Seine-Maritime). She could have been “Fast but, fortunately, we were able to play all summer” summed up Patrick Druot during the general assembly of the club.

Under these circumstances, all events (competitions, challenge Corinne Voisard and family badminton day) have been canceled.

Despite the situation, the club did well with 29 licensees including 6 with summer licenses. Set up by the French federation, this stimulus system allowed these players to discover the practice of badminton free of charge between May 1 and August 31, 2021.

On the financial level, the club presents a positive balance sheet even though it has invested nearly € 500 in the purchase of sports masks. Advised by the Federation, they were offered to each of the license holders.

Hope for a comeback

After a month of recovery, the club already has about twenty licensees.

“Despite the uncertainties, the players played the game by taking back their licenses. To thank the licensees for their loyalty, the office decided to give them a discount ”.

A measure that is aimed at those who have been made redundant for one to two seasons, those disturbed by at Covid.

Back-to-school sports allowance

As for the badminton school (still labeled “1 star” by the FFBad and supervised by two initiators), young people aged 6 to 18 can, depending on conditions, benefit from the Pass’Sport, a back-to-school sports allowance intended to boost sports activity in associations.

Establish contacts with other clubs

Regarding projects, the office hopes to return to a normal season. The club has not entered any teams in the Departmental Interclubs but it has a mixed team that will participate in Duets of Seine-Maritime. L’ESA Badminton also hopes to participate in tournaments in order to establish contacts with other clubs, organize her Corinne Voisard challenge as well as her always appreciated family day.
