Latvian forward Zemgus Girgensons continues to demonstrate his powerful performance in the National Hockey League (NHL), who helped his Buffalo Sabers to win the opponent’s field against the Ducks in Anaheim in the early hours of the morning with a score of 4: 3 in extra time.

Girgenson spent 18 minutes and 35 seconds on the field, during which he scored with a goal. In the first period after Kail Okposo’s shot, the rebound was collected by Girgenson, who threw it in the empty corner of the goal, thus reaching the sixth (3 + 3) point in seven games of the season.

In the match against Anaheim, the Latvian threw the goal three times, performed one force technique and blocked one opponent’s throw. Girgenson ended the game with a positive efficiency plus one. Girgenson spent the most productive season of his career in 2015, scoring 30 points, but this season he has taken a good pace to break his performance record.

According to Girgenson naked This was followed by two more exact “Sabers” shots in a row performed by Rasmus Asplund and Artis Ruotsalainen, which allowed to reach 3: 0. Anaheim started the play marathon in the second period, first scoring the goal for Troy Terry and shortly afterwards marking Adam Henrik.

In the final round of the game, Simon Benoit made a draw in the Ducks, which allowed the home team extra time. In one of the attacks at the opponents’ goal, Viktors Olofsons kept the puck well, who masterfully passed to Asplund, who had to send the puck to the half-empty goal. The Sabers thus won their fifth win in seven games, continuing the NHL season well.

The next match for Buffalo is scheduled for October 31 against the Kings of Los Angeles. It will be an early game in Latvian time, which will start at 22:00, showing it live on the platform “Viaplay”.
