The Italian Cadet Championships were held on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October at the Palapellicone in Ostia Lido (Rome). Gaia Mari was present for the Judo Club Tolmezzo, who qualified on the occasion of the regional phase on 2 October.
A very important experience for Gaia, because it sees her return to the competition after more than a year and a half without matches. In the -63 kg category he immediately faced the athlete who then won the silver medal; then Gaia imposed herself with two waza-ari on another Friulian athlete, and then stopped in 17th place out of 43 athletes.
A good performance for the athlete of the Judo Club Tolmezzo, who has faced the most important commitment of his competitive year very well. Brava Gaia!
