Gabriel Camargo, president of Tolima, reproaches Millonarios for signing Montero | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

The controversy between Deportes Tolima, Álvaro Montero and Millonarios seems like a never ending novel. The goalkeeper’s announcement to sign with the Bogota team as of next year, and the bill that the Ibagué team passed to him by leaving him out of concentration, are just signs of the deep annoyance that exists on both sides.

The footballer confirmed his change of club this week, a situation that produced a harsh statement from Tolima, which criticized the way everything happened and the public announcement in the middle of the Betplay League competition.

Now it has been the club’s own duel, Gabriel Camargo, who has gone with everything against the goalkeeper and against the Albiazules managers.

“The theme of Álvaro Montero is that everyone knows what happened. Unfortunately, FIFA allows 6 months before the end of a contract, another can be signed. Montero can leave, but do so quietly, secretly,” said Gabriel Carmargo, in dialogue with ‘Sports Blog’, from ‘Blu Radio’

The manager says that there were no official confirmations of the negotiations and that the player left without an economic improvement: “He denied that he was in talks with Millionaires. According to the chimes, he arranged for the same money that he had spoken with us,” he explained.

The most serious annoyance, however, is not with the player, who in any case they are not taking into account in Tolima, which gives the feeling of being a possible bill for his departure, but with Millionaires: “We were convinced that Montero was staying, but we found out that he was signing a contract elsewhere. I don’t want to delve into this. Montero is free, the Millonarios procedure is what we reproach, “he concluded.
