Beaten 0-3 last week by Juventus, Servette FCCF conceded a new setback on the second day of the group stage of C1. Against a team of a caliber far superior to the Turinese, the Swiss champions did not have a say (5-0).

Deprived at the kick-off of captain Sandy Maendly, central defender Laura Felber (not 100%), as well as midfielder Paula Serrano (injured until the end of the season), the proteges of Eric Sévérac were stifled by the physical power of the Germans.

From the first minute, the Louves took the Petit Poucet by the throat of this group, which lasted only a little more than a quarter of an hour, despite his desire to look good. Against such an opponent, one should not make mistakes. TO the 18th, Monica Mendes did not support her pass enough and Svenja Huth took the opportunity to open the scoring for the Germans (18th). The floodgates were open and Tabea Wassmuth exploited a bad defensive return following a corner to double the bet (26th).

Several parades from Inês Pereira (28th on a shot from Lena Oberdorf, 30th and 34th on attempts by Huth) then prevented the German ogre from flying to the scoreboard. But the garnet door, the most prominent player on the side of Servette with Elodie Nakkach, could not do anything when Wassmuth appeared alone against her to afford a double (43rd).

Upon returning from the locker room, the face of the meeting did not change. After a corner, Dominique Janssen was the quickest to recover a second ball, sending it into the net (51st). Overwhelmed by both the intensity and the playfulness of the Louves, the visitors again capitulated to Joëlle Smits (68th), before lowering their foot a little. Offensively, the Genevans had only one real opportunity to save the honor: but Jade Boho did not support his shot enough (54th).

Servette Chênois will not have much time to recover from this lesson. On Sunday, the players of Eric Sévérac will play a difficult match in the league, with the reception of Grasshopper, who has not yet lost this season.

Wolfsburg and Chelsea lead this group A with 4 points, ahead of Juventus (3) and Servette Chênois (0). On the next matchday, November 9, Servette will host Chelsea and Juve, Wolfsburg.

In Group B, the favorites easily won. Paris Saint-Germain, with Ramona Bachmann until the 65th, won against the Ukrainian Zhytlobud-1 Kharkiv 5-0 and Real Madrid defeated the Icelandic Breidablik 5-0. Parisians and Madrilenians share first place in the ranking before meeting again, on November 9, in the French capital.
