Vienna – Austria’s only permanent representative in the main competition of the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, endowed with 1.974 million euros, meets a qualifier. Dennis Novak was spared a big name in round one in the town hall, the 28-year-old Lower Austrian was given a wildcard in the absence of the convalescent Dominic Thiem. If Novak wins, he will face either Jannik Sinner (ITA-7) or Reilly Opelka (USA) in round two. This was the result of the draw on Saturday.
