FC Barcelona is apparently withdrawing from poker for BVB star Erling Haaland
FC Barcelona probably has no chance of Erling Haaland and has therefore dropped out of the game for the BVB star.
Erling Haaland is one of the most sought-after players in the world. Now the first European top club has apparently withdrawn from advertising for the BVB striker.
As Spanish media report unanimously, FC Barcelona has dropped out of the race for Haaland. This was confirmed by Vice President Rafa Yuste on Sunday in an interview with the Sports world.
“Until next summer we will see how the situation is and what new signings we can afford,” said the Barca official, who took up his official post as “First Vice-President Sport” for the Catalans in March of this year under the new club president Joan Laporta had taken over.
FC Barcelona is currently plagued by a mountain of debt totaling 1.35 billion euros. In addition, the Blaugrana was forced to cut costs by the Spanish league.
The Vice President emphasized that the Norwegian was “one of the best in the world”. Due to the financial difficulties, however, it is almost impossible for Haaland to end up with five-time Champions League winners in the event of a change in the summer of 2022.

“First we have to install new load-bearing walls in a house that we found in ruins. We are concentrating first on stabilizing this house,” explained Yuste.
In recent years, under the leadership of ex-president Josep Maria Bartomeu, Barca’s financial policy and economic planning have been “catastrophic”. “Players were bought without knowing if they could be paid,” he said.
Despite the high debts, managing director Ferran Reverter said a few days ago that Barca could spend up to 20 million euros in winter. However, a significantly higher sum would be required for a Haaland transfer.
