The Óscar ‘Tigre’ García Municipal Gymnasium was chosen as the venue for the All-Star Game of the Pacific Basketball Circuit (Cibapac).
Laura Marmolejo Toscano, director of the Ensenada Municipal Sports and Recreation Institute (Inmudere), reported that the meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 from 6:00 p.m.
He recalled that with the support of Mayor Armando Ayala Robles, in the gym also known as “La Lobera”, because it is the home of the Lobos de Ensenada team, around 1 million pesos were invested in the replacement of the floor, repair of seats, steps, toilets, ceilings, lighting and facade.
“We are very happy that the emblematic Oscar ‘Tigre’ García has been chosen by Cibapac for the all-star game. We will receive visitors from all over the state and from the north of Sonora, who will be able to verify the progress made in the rehabilitation of this gym ”, he said.
Also, he expressed that the Buenos Aires community is very proud of the performance of the local basketball team affiliated with Cibapac, because – he specified – it has good numbers with six games won and two lost.
He specified that although the list of players who will participate in the meeting has not yet been made public, a team will be formed that will represent the municipalities of the Coastal Zone and another to the municipalities of the Eastern Zone.
The official reiterated the invitation to the population to participate in this sporting event, in which, she assured, the COVID-19 health protocols will be applied, and for which contests are planned prior to the stellar game; as well as, the award to the most valuable player of the fair.
