Energy Cup, the second edition kicks off: Cantù basketball ready to battle the challengers

The Enerxenia challenge brings together the fans who have to increase the points of their favorite team with a quiz.

The second edition of the challenge is starting fielded by Acel Energie (Enerxenia), a company of the Acsm Agam group, which involves Pallacanestro Cantù, Calcio Lecco 1912, Pallacanestro Varese and Vero Volley Monza which won the third season of the last edition. This year the new entry is Rugby San Donà.

Energy Cup is the championship that is held between the clubs linked by a partnership with the Acsm Agam electricity and gas sales company. It involves thousands of people in the territories where Acel Energie operates, consolidating the sense of participation and the values ​​of fair sporting competition. The ranking of the tournament is determined on the basis of the points won in the respective playing rectangles (basketball, football, volleyball, oval ball) to which are added those earned by the fans through social media and the site dedicated to the challenge (energycup.it).

In fact, both the quizzes of fidelity to the colors of the team and the virtuous behaviors with respect to energy supplies, such as the activation of the bank domiciliation or the electronic bill, yield points: a bonus in the name of environmental sustainability that constitutes the line. leadership of the Group resulting from the integration between the utilities of the provinces of Lecco, Sondrio, Como, Varese, Monza, Venice. The role reserved for supporters is therefore fundamental, as they have the opportunity to get their favorite team up in the ranking (and be rewarded with gadgets and passes).

“I am pleased to confirm this project which saw a pilot start last year – he explained Martin Ignacio Isolabella, Head of Marketing and Commercial Development – we had to revise some logic because Covid led to games without an audience. One thing that has conditioned the project a bit, which aims to bring supporters closer to the teams that we support with our partnership. Fans who are often close to our company which does not want to be just a supplier of gas and energy but a point of reference for creating value in the territory. This year the teams play in different leagues and we hope they all top the rankings. Not only is played on the pitch but also in the stands “.

The new edition will see six leagues, six sports represented and five sports clubs on the pitch as well as prizes for teams and fans. Last year 150 games were played, 2 thousand participants, 18 thousand instant wins played and 360 prizes won. “Already in the first season of this year there will be 200 prizes – added Isolabella – In addition, for the new edition we have decided to combine sports knowledge with energy in the quizzes that bring points to your favorite team”. From 5 November we start with the registrations while from 10 November at 10 we start to play.

Great charge among the participating companies

Alberto Marusso, president of the new entry Rugby San Donà, said: “We have decided to participate with enthusiasm, we are a new entry with a particular sport and we come from outside Lombardy. For us it is the second year with Acel as a partner. I consider it a tool innovative and I believe that our fans will have a great ability to network “.

We want to create interactions with our audience and in general with sports fans. The social issue is of great importance: we donated the contribution made for last year’s victory to the PS association of the Niguarda hospital. This year we have two first teams in Serie A which are our icing on the cake.
