DJB Mixed Team U21 wins bronze medal at the World Championships

The German mixed team at the U21 World Cup in Olbia on Sardinia wins the bronze medal and is supported by four athletes from Großhadern supports.

Along with Raffaela Igl from Abensberg Bavaria has five team members, making it the strongest national association.

After victories against Uzbekistan (4: 0) and Hungary (4: 2), the German team wins the pool and faces the team from Russia in the semi-finals, to which they are defeated 4: 1.

The small final against the team from Ukraine turns into a “judo thriller”. After falling 1: 3 behind, Anna Monta Olek and Losseni Kone win their two fights and equalize in a 3: 3 draw. In the draw for the decisive playoff, the “lucky” lot falls on the -57 kg weight class, which is not occupied by the Ukrainians. The German team won 4: 3 and took bronze on the podium.
