DFB Cup: Bad head crash overshadows HSV’s 911 victory in Nuremberg – football

Two moments of shock overshadow the game in Nuremberg!

HSV won a thrilling cup fight between two second division teams 5-3 after a penalty shoot-out and made it to the round of 16.

But the sporty takes a back seat.

46. Minute: HSV left-back Muheim and Nuremberg Krauss rattle their heads together just 15 seconds after the restart. The FCN professional slams on the lawn, has probably lost consciousness.

Paramedics and ambulance doctors immediately rush to the field, and his teammates and coach Klauss also look worriedly after the midfielder. Krauss is put on a ruff and is brought from the square on a stretcher to the applause of the audience.

While he was being transported to the catacombs, the first positive sign: Krauß raised his arm and gave a thumbs up.

A short time later the all-clear: Krauss is available. Not only his parents, who were brought by FCN CFO Niels Rossow to their son in the cabin, will have fallen from the heart.

Bad pictures already in the first half – and Krauss was also involved there. In a duel, the man from Nuremberg first clears the ball and then the opponent Leibold (18th). Krauss hits the leg of the HSV defender with his knee. Leibold writhes and screams in pain. He has to get down on a stretcher with his hands in front of his face.

The ligaments of the ex-Nuremberg resident were probably affected, but more detailed investigations will then take place in Hamburg.

But football was also played on the pitch.

David puts HSV in the lead shortly before the break (45th) with his first professional goal. Duman (59th), who was substituted on for Krauss, equalized. Afterwards, both teams gave the best opportunities, so the decision had to be made on penalties.

There the HSV has the happier end for itself. Nuremberg awards two penalties (Tempelmann, Sörensen) and David shoots the Hanseatic League with the decisive hit from the point.
