Deschamps’ joke after the coronation

Much to his joy after the victory of the Blues won against Spain (2-1), Didier Deschamps split a joke in front of the cameras of the FFF.

Didier Deschamps has resumed his good habits. Three months after the disillusionment of the Euro, the coach saw the Blues resume their march forward during the Final Four of the League of Nations. After overthrowing Belgium in the semi-final (3-2), France did the same with Spain with a 2-1 victory synonymous with a new title for the world champions.

It was certainly only the League of Nations but the Blues did not shy away from their pleasure. Paul pogba, after having given a rallying speech at the break, was delighted to “Bring the cup home”, as shown in the video published by the French Football Federation the day after France’s coronation. There was also joy for Kylian Mbappé, proud to win “One more title”, son 13e at only 22 years old.

In terms of achievements, the Parisian striker is at a good school in the France team. Didier Deschamps, captain of the Blues at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, then French coach at the 2018 World Cup and therefore at the 2021 Nations League, is obviously a reference. The Bayonnais also seems to have fun. “How good it is when you win games, when you win titles. We’re not used to it ”, he launched, thus exorcising the failure of the last Euro. And the former midfielder had not finished savoring. “It’s fabulous, there were emotions, a beautiful script, technical quality… And what state of mind, what character”, he added before embracing his troops.
