A B4B clinic (acronym which is used internationally instead of BXC) with the participation of a large group of visually impaired people of different ages (8-50 years) both males and females who arrived thanks to the perfect work carried out by Chantal Bos regional consultant for the sports organization for visually impaired IKS (Iederen Kan Sporten)
During the presentation of the event in a conference room of the magnificent sports center of the city, Stefano Malaguti explained to those present (baseball coaches and assistants of the association of visually impaired people) through a Power Point presentation, the philosophy and the game invented by Alfredo Meli, then having Eva Trevisan (sighted player and technician), Angel Argentieri (technician) and Giorgio Napoli (player) expose their experience in B4B. Roy Vink of the Dutch Federation was present throughout the day, in charge of following the project. We then moved to the beautiful Cheetah baseball field where Malaguti, Trevisan and Argentieri with the help of local technicians Peter Boevrie, John Benink, Jack Heuts, Frank Smeits, Axel Tielung but above all of Chantal Bos the whole part developed. program technique by testing all the fundamentals of B4B.
The future players ran on the bases, caught and threw the ball and hit the ball like in able-bodied baseball to end up playing a mini game that thrilled everyone. During the parts of the training Giorgio Napoli accompanied several players in their runs on the bases and then demonstrated (Running, beating and defending and pulling to the amazement of the bystanders) how those who practice BXC will be able to move in the future. Therefore a very intense day both from a physical and emotional point of view in which everyone was involved in a very exciting way. We were very pleased to see the parents who accompanied their children to learn B4B, considering the sport very important to help their growth in life.
Being sure that we have planted a seed in fertile soil and thanking Chantal Bos, Roy Vink, Peter Boevrie, John Benink, Jack Heuts, Eva, Giorgio and Angel again, we look forward to the development of our sport in the Netherlands.
