Classico OM-PSG: Dimitri Payet’s call for calm to all Marseille supporters

The OM captain sent a long solemn message to the Marseille supporters.

The Marseille playmaker posted a video on Twitter on the eve of the OM-PSG match this Sunday, October 24. Dimitri Payet sends a message to all Marseille supporters so that the match takes place without any overflow. Besides the image, it is true that OM are playing big, because they could be penalized in the event of incidents.

“We need exemplarity”

“There is an important message that must be included, that must be understood. The president has already done it very well with the letter addressed to our groups of supporters (…) Tomorrow night is a classico. We know what it means for the club, for the city, for us, the Marseillais, the players. But above all, it must remain a party. It must remain the celebration of football. It must remain a beautiful sporting event, let’s talk about it like a big football match. Marseille supporters tomorrow we need you, the encouragement, your presence, the tifos, everything will come together. We also need exemplarity. Let’s be the first, let’s be the first to set this example (…) No matter what happens on the pitch, no matter the score. We need an example (…) Show that a classico can go well (…) Don’t forget that we are on probation, we risk losing a point and all the points are important. “

The season we remember had not started very well for OM after a general fight between Marseille and Nice supporters during the third day of Ligue 1. Dimitri Payet had received a bottle of water in the 75th minute in the back. It is a suppporter of the OGC Nice who was at the origin of the sending of the projectile. The player, collapsed on the lawn, got up and threw a bottle in the direction of the Nice stands. A gesture that had caused a general fight. After a match interruption, the Marseillais refused to return to the lawn, feeling unsafe.
