“Cipotes” premiere games and spaces at Parque Vida Mejor – La Tribuna Newspaper

SANTA RITA, Yoro. Smiles, applause and sincere expressions of gratitude were offered by the inhabitants of Santa Rita, Yoro, during the inauguration of the Park for a Better Life “Humuya”, a work built by the Government of President Juan Orlando Hernández.

The amount of investment in the construction and conditioning of the project was 997,774.83 lempiras.

The new space for citizen recreation represents the number 122 that this Administration has built at the national level and was delivered to the community by the First Lady, Ana García de Hernández, on behalf of the Honduran president.

With the construction of the new park, more than 2,500 inhabitants of the municipality and surrounding communities are directly benefited.

Mario Caballero, mayor of Santa Rita, expressed his joy for the opening and the benefit it will bring to the municipality.

The recreational space has a children’s and exercise area to promote a healthy lifestyle.

WAS CONFLICTED AREA

“Today we are delivering this Park for a Better Life, in this area that was one of the most conflictive areas of the municipality, so that now children and good families can be empowered by this space,” said the mayor.

He stressed that “we officially deliver this park to the community and we thank the Government, President Hernández, and the First Lady, for looking to our municipality.”

Through this social program, promoted by President Hernández, in the Parks for a Better Life thousands of people benefit permanently with Zumba classes and different sports disciplines taught by federated instructors.

Among the sports disciplines taught within these recreational spaces are boxing, taekwondo, karate do, fencing, athletics, basketball, muay thai and judo, among others.

The facilities of the new and modern park have 495 square meters, for the enjoyment of young and old.

The new space for family and community coexistence consists of 495 square meters of construction. And inside a children’s area was fitted out, with a synthetic grass floor and white sand, a weight training and aerobics area with a synthetic grass floor, a social area with a colored tile floor and concrete paths and a multipurpose court.

The infants made use of the games, without neglecting biosecurity measures.
