Football fans around the world worry about Sergio Agüero. The Barcelona superstar was replaced on Saturday evening.
In the duel between the Catalans against Deportivo Alaves (1: 1), the Argentine striker suddenly grabbed his chest in the first half, apparently complaining of shortness of breath. The 33-year-old then fell to the ground.
Teammates and opponents quickly rushed to the rescue and took care of the Argentine. The live TV broadcast camera panned away from Agüero.
For many football fans, memories of the European Championship were awakened when Denmark superstar Christian Eriksen suddenly went down and suffered a heart attack. However, the Barca star was always conscious.
Exchanged in 41st minute
Agüero had been treated by the Barca club doctors and was finally able to leave the field himself. For the time being, however, there was no longer any thought of continuing to play. The 33-year-old was replaced by Philippe Coutinho in the 41st minute and quickly disappeared into the cabin aisle.
After the game, the striker was brought to the hospital by ambulance. According to the first media reports from Spain, Aguero had palpitations.
