Beninese arbitration in the spotlight thanks to two Beninese – Matin Libre

After their remarkable presence at the last African U15 and U19 Championships in Benin last month as assistant referee, Beninese referees Salomon Nonvignon and Honorine Vitohou, judges of the World Badminton Federation were invited to take part in the championships. A presence at this continental meeting which allowed Beninese referees-judges to display their level and impact fans of this sporting discipline through their rigor and mastery of the rules of the game XXL performances which tipped to the advantage of Beninese Salomon Nonvignon to whom the African Badminton Confederation has entrusted the heavy responsibility of officiating the last single man meeting of the said championship. This final also opposed two great nations of African badminton, in particular Egypt and Algeria. During this fiercely contested final, the Beninese demonstrated all their know-how in the management of the match. He even elevated the final by his decision-making, his calm in facing the high point of the meeting and his uncontested decisions. Recall that Salomon Nonvignon and Honorine Vitohou were present at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games as world judge last August.
