The Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves will face off in the MLB World Series, after qualifying against Boston and Los Angeles, respectively.

The 2021 MLB title will be played between Houston and Atlanta! The Braves joined the Astros in the World Series on Saturday after their 4-2 victory over the defending champions Los Angeles Dodgers, which saw them take the series by the same score. The franchise will try to win its fourth title, after those gleaned in 1914 (the Braves were then based in Boston), 1957 (in Milwaukee) and 1995 (in Atlanta). It will also be his 18th final (the first dating from 1877!), The first since 1999. Worlds Series starts Tuesday

Cuban Yordan Alvarez (12 hits) was the American League play-off MVP. The World Series kicks off on Tuesday, best of seven of course, with the first two games played in Houston and the next two in Atlanta. The eventual Match 5 will be for the Braves and Matches 6 and 7 for the Astros, with the World Series ending no later than November 3. Finding these two teams in the final was not necessarily expected in view of the regular season, since Atlanta had only finished fourth in the National League, behind San Francisco and Los Angeles, and Houston second in the American League behind Tampa Bay. The Braves and Astros haven’t faced each other since a preseason game in March 2020, and it was Atlanta that won 3-0.
