Baggy pants have never been so fun: Find out how to wear them

Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini.Foto: Vogue Runway

Let’s anticipate the fashion trends for Spring-Summer 2022: baggy pants will be low-waisted (or rather, very low-waisted), ready to show the skin, leaving the crotch hanging. Everything seems to turn towards the fashion of the 2000s, with belts that cinch the pants so that they do not fall, close to the hips, and hems that are not made so that the fabric rests on the shoes. Miu Miu opts for classic pants in neutral tones such as gray and beige, and combines them with black ankle boots and white tennis shoes. Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini proposes a fluid model, which simulates liquid metal, worn with very high platform shoes.

Wide-leg pants: A must-have in Victoria Beckham’s wardrobe

Victoria Beckham has never hidden her fondness for baggy pants: according to the manual, she chooses them elegant, high-waisted and with a central pleat, to further stylize her figure. In a suit version (coordinated with the jacket) and combined with a silk shirt, the designer and former Spice Girl always wears them with very high heels, even in the case of white ankle boots.

The best street style looks with wide pants

Let’s start with a trend that we have observed when browsing the photo galleries: baggy pants can be worn with white shoes. White boots, sneakers and clogs peeked at the feet of editors and influencers, popping up with that warm touch of flowy fabrics. This fashion combination (wide pants plus white shoes) will also allow us to recycle the bridal shoes that some of us will already have in our closet.
