David A. Hernández, SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican badminton team gets ready to go in search of medals in the I Pan American Youth Games in Cali-Valle 2021.
Prior to his participation in the youth multisport event, he will exhaust a training base in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain from November 2 to 23.
The first manager of the selected team, Rafael Santín, assured that he has focused on raising the playing technique and physical conditioning of the players, recognizing that “the commitment will not be easy.”
Despite the above, he specified that the expectations of reaching the podium are high, since they have outstanding athletes such as the experienced Nairoby Jiménez, who is ranked 103rd worldwide.
In addition to Jiménez, the Dominicans will have Henry Zorrilla, Daniel Acosta and Alisa Juleisy Acosta, who are competing in the 5th Santo Domingo Junior International and Open Badminton.
