ATP – Vienne> Sinner: “Everything is played in Paris, as always”

Jannik Sinner killed two birds with one stone on Friday. In the quarter-finals, the Italian beat a direct competitor in the ATP Finals race, Casper Ruud. And he also, thanks to this victory, entered the top 10 for the first time in his young career. But if he has a series of victories at the moment, he knows that nothing has been done, especially in the race in Turin.

« Of course, I’m happy to be in the top 10. I knew all the implications of this game before I entered the field. There was a lot of pressure. But the most important thing is the performance which was good. I manage everything well for the moment. But in another sense, everything is played out in Paris, as always. Each year, the last 1 or 2 places for the Masters are allocated there.. Getting into the top 10 is great because I worked hard. On the other hand, you are trying to move forward. If my maximum is top 10, it’s 10. I hope not. The most important thing is to always improve and try to do a good, solid performance.. I’m happy with my season, we’ll see where I will be at the end ”, estimated Sinner who faces Frances Tiafoe this Saturday in the semifinals in Vienna.
