ATP> Medvedev: “Technique is nothing, you have to put the ball in the court in the right place at the right time”

Daniil Medvedev gave a long interview to Central Court, a Russian media. Of course, once again, the Russian champion was asked about his special technique. Very comfortable in this exercise, Daniil did not hesitate to go back when he was a child to understand where this gesture came from.

“Two days ago I met one of my first coaches, Igor Chelyshev and I asked him about my game when I was a child because I didn’t really remember. He explained to me that in fact I was content to run a lot and to bring the ball very often by making very rounded shots as they say (laughs). And it’s funny because in a way nothing has really changed. Of course my game from the baseline has evolved and my serve has become a weapon, but my goal remains the same regardless of my technique. In fact the technique is not a problem. In tennis, you have to put the ball in the right place at the right time, the rest does not matter. “
