Archery in Aprigliano, still successes for the Archers Club Lido: the story
Sunday 24 October in the sports hall of Aprigliano the company of the President Sergio Bonavita organized an interregional competition of archery also valid for qualifying for the Italian championships in class and division. The sports structure of the municipality of Presilano welcomed archers from all over the Calabria, the club of the lido di Catanzaro district, of the coaches Messina and Poerio Piterà was present at the competition with 5 athletes, who at the end of the race took home as many podiums.
The afternoon shift did well for the AClub Lido cruise ships, who at the end of the competition totaled 3 golds, a silver and a bronze. Gold and first place for Francesco Poerio Piterà in the Olympic class students division with 578 points, Gold for Anastasia Poerio Piterà always in the Olympic class girls division with 540 points, gold also in the Compound Female Students with Chiarella Vittoria Veneta. Silver for Poerio Piterà Edoardo in the master nude bow and bronze for Chiricò Rosanna in the women’s seniores compound.
There was no shortage of satisfactions, in fact before the race a large representative of the Sila archers delivered two plaques for sporting merit to Francesco Poerio Piterà and Anastasia Poerio Piterà for the countless individual successes obtained during the sporting year. Another honor was given by the mayor of Aprigliano Alessandro Leonardo Porco, mayor of the town of Presilana elected in the elections of 26 May 2019, who, at the end of the event and after the usual sports awards ceremony, presented a plaque to the young Tavernese athlete for the individual and sports results expected in 2021.
Satisfaction comes from the top management, in fact, Mister Poerio Piterà Edoardo says he is satisfied first of all with the performance of the young athletes and the youth sector of the company, but he says he is moved by the messages of esteem and gratitude received by the boys on the occasion of this event. “The Sila Archers gave us the plates of Francesco and Anastasia Poerio Piterà because we could not attend their competition because they were involved in the Italian championships in Bergamo – he claims – but we are grateful for the thought of this club that is sporty close to us. An immense thanks goes to the community of Aprigliano represented by the mayor Alessandro Leonardo Porco, the administration who gave us a plaque for the individual results obtained by Francesco at the last Italian Targa Absolute championships. For us, they are signs of esteem from the administrations that host us, a sign that our society and our sport leave their mark on the Calabrian territory through perseverance, commitment and above all results “.
