Alberto Palacio, naveto player of the Sierense club of El Chalupu, yesterday became the first finalist of the prestigious tournament of Champions of Spain and aces of cuatreada organized by the rock Batán de Mieres. The flaming champion of Asturias in the Second Category defeated left-handed Berto Faya, from the Sotrondio club, to qualify for the final by a Very tight score from 14 to 13.

The duel had a lot of emotion and quality games. The North-born Faya managed to overcome an initial 7 to 2 to get ahead with two games ahead (11 to 9) and had the victory in his hand. With 13 to 12 in his favor he had to kill 31 pins for the thumb (his hand being a left-handed player), but surprisingly and despite shooting very well he had bad luck and ended up losing the game by hitting eight with the last ball when he there were nine points left.

The one from Sotrondio overcame the blow by sending win 46 for the hand, but it was at that moment when Palace brought out his best version and deleted the game with only five balls before taking a leap of joy from the title to celebrate the access to what will be his first final in this famous competition.

The one from the El Chalupu rock confirms in this way his great moment of form. On the 17th, he was proclaimed champion of Asturias in the Second Category by beating Jairo Ramis (Casa Cuqui) by a clear 14 to 6 at the La Carrera bowling alley (Siero). On November 5, starting at six in the afternoon, he will seek the title in Mieres against the winner of the tie between Jairo González (Batán) and the current absolute champion of Asturias, Alejandro Nuño (El Piles), which is played this Friday, also at 6:00 p.m.
