Aerial worker stops hockey international Belgium-Germany for 1.5 hours | hockey pro league

At 2:10 p.m., a Belgium-Germany was scheduled in Uccle for the women, at 4.30 p.m. one for the men, both in the new Pro League season.

But near one of the goals, a crane stood in the way just next to the field. The aerial platform was used to hang the TV cameras above the field. It is not immediately clear what the problem was with the crane, but the colossus was not easily removed.

Several people were looking for a solution. The teams broke off their warm-up and headed back to the changing rooms. “I have never seen this,” said national coach Raoul Ehren, but he remained calm. “It is sometimes also possible due to a thunderstorm that the start is postponed.”

Once the aerial platform was out of the way, it took another 25 minutes before the game could start anyway: 15 minutes for the warm-up and 10 minutes for the protocol. The match was started around 3.40 pm.

In the end, the match will start with more than 1.5 hours delay. The starting time for the men has meanwhile been moved to 6.10 pm.
