Adult table tennis team defines tournaments tour | Others

The national adult table tennis team already has a concrete plan to return to the court.

The integrated squad Adriana Díaz, Melanie Díaz, Daniely Ríos, Daniel González and Brian Afanador will compete in October and November between Europe, South America and the United States.

“We already have the most concrete plans. We are going to go to the WTT (World Table Tennis) in Tunisia, from 24 to 30 (October) and then we are going to go to Slovenia, from 1 to 7 (November) ”, said coach Bladimir Díaz to THE SPOKESMAN.

After playing the contests endorsed by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), the Puerto Rican team returns to Puerto Rico again to rest for a few days and take another plane to Peru, where the adult Pan American Championship will be held. , which will go on stage from November 13 to 19, in Lima.

The group will close the tour of tournaments at the World Table Tennis Championships that will take place for the first time in the United States, from November 23 to 29, in Houston, Texas.

“Those are the plans we have for now,” said Bladimir, who will be accompanied by coach Eladio Afanador.

Sisters Díaz and Afanador have not competed since the last Tokyo Olympics, where they lost in the first round.

For his part, González competed for the last time in the Olympic qualifier played in April. Ríos was active in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
