A weekend for martial arts

From mini-chicks to cadets, the judo club herbretais is organizing tournaments this weekend.

It is now an event well anchored in the calendar, the Grand Prix of the judo club herbretais which welcomes youngsters and cadets from the Pays de la Loire region during a tournament.

The event which hosted 280 judokas last year should once again attract the best young people in the sector this Sunday, October 31 in an inter-municipal dojo calibrated for the organization of such meetings.

But also the youngest with a competition on Saturday, October 30 for the categories mini-chicks to minimal which welcomes the judokas of the department and Choletais.

As a result of this influx, the Aikido course organized for more than 10 years by the Herbarium club relocates to the Gâte-Bourse room (former dojo) for the days of October 30 and 31, before returning to the intercommunal dojo on Monday, November 1. for the last day.

In this sport “where one against the attack by using the force of the other”, recalls Sylvie Herbert, teacher of the club of 24 licensees, “there is no competition. The internships are therefore very important to progress in practice“.

It is Mickaël Martin, 7th dan, who will give his advice during these 3 days of training.
