A court in Elche investigates a judo teacher for allegedly abusing 11 girls

The Court of Instruction No. 3 of Elche has ordered as a precautionary measure a Judo teacher the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail for possible continued crimes of sexual abuse and exhibitionism. The victims, according to police sources, are eleven minors who were between eight and 13 years old at the time the events occurred.

The 60-year-old monitor was arrested for the first time in July, after the complaint of a minor before the National Police, being provisionally released. In August a second complaint arrived and lThe police carried out new investigations that concluded with the location of eleven victims. For this reason, the officers detained the professor again on September 6.

Two of the eleven complainants are still in psychological treatment for behavioral disorders due to the abuse suffered. The abuses took place in the gym of the Carrús neighborhood, in Judo and Martial Arts classes. A sports center that belonged to the professor denounced and detained, which is now closed.

The teacher entered prison on September 8 denying the facts reported by the victims. Despite this, the court rejected his provisional release, keeping him in the Fontcalent penitentiary provisionally, communicated and without guarantee. According to the first investigations, there are reasonable evidence of nine continuous crimes of sexual abuse of a minor, one crime of sexual abuse of a minor and another crime of exhibitionism.
