1. Draft

Upon graduating from the University of Michigan, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady it promised little as a college prospect. In the 2000 Draft, they were chosen Chad Pennington, Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Tee Martin, Marc Bulger y Spergon Wynn before the Pats drafted him with the 199 pick.

In the Scouting Combine of 2000 he registered 5.28 seconds in the 40-yard test, a long jump of 99 inches and the vertical of 24.5. With the passage of time it would show that it did not require great athletic ability to succeed in the NFL.

2. Debut

The first time Tom Brady saw action for New England was in his rookie season. The quarterback jumped onto an NFL grid for the first time at the old Pontiac Silverdome, home of the Detroit Lions between 1975 and 200, on November 23, 2000.

Brady replaced Drew Bledsoe for the last offensive series of the game the Pats lost 34-9. His statistical record was three passes attempted, one completed for six yards and a rating of 42.4.

3. First match as a starter

Brady took over the quarterback position after Bledsoe’s injury in Week 2 of the 2001 season against the New York Jets and as a result his first game as QB1 was against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. The Pats won the game 44-13, but New England’s historic quarterback wasn’t the deciding factor.

TB12 did not have to do more than manage the ball and not commit losses. Running back Antowain Smith recorded 94 yards and two TDs, while your defense, specifically cornerbacks Ty Law and Otis Smith, helped Manning with two pick-sixes.

4. Primer TD

Bill Belichick didn’t immediately hold Brady responsible for the offense. His first touchdown came in the Pats 29-26 win over the San Diego Chargers on October 14, 2001.The quarterback hit a 21-yard pass to wide receiver Terry Glenn for his first TD.

5. Tuck Rule Party

January 19, 2002 was a historic date for Tom Brady and the NFL. On that date they faced the Oakland Raiders in the divisional round. TB12’s first playoff game was the last for the New England Patriots at Foxboro Stadium.

The controversy of the party is given by the ‘Tuck Rule‘. The Pats were trailing by three with less than two minutes to go at regular time when Charles Woodson ripped the ball off Brady and the Raiders ensured the outcome of the game. Nevertheless, the play was reviewed the officials returned the ball to New England.

Adam Vinatieri, a pivotal part of Brady’s history, scored a 45-yard field goal to force extra time. In overtime, New England won the toss, the offense advanced smoothly under the snow and Vinatieri sentenced the game with a 23-yard field goal.

6. Super Bowl XXXVI

Before Tom Brady, the New England team had reached two Super Bowls (XX and XXXI), but lost them. Nevertheless, when TB12 took over the successes began. His first SB was the XXXVI edition, against the St. Louis Rams led by Kurt Warner as the icon of the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’.

‘Tom Terrific’ completed five passes in the last offensive drive for Vinatieri to attempt a 48-yard field goal that would give them victory as the clock expired. Because of that offensive drive, Brady won the Super Bowl MVP award.

7. Season 2007

Year after year, Brady proved his greatness on the grills, but the 2007 season was the best. Arguably almost perfect for Brady, with the exception of the Super Bowl. The Michigan product earned the first of three ‘Most Valuable Player’ trophies in its windows so far The quarterback threw for 50 touchdowns, a record in league history at the time, and 4,806 yards after completing 68.9 percent of his passes.

8. Most touchdown passes in a game

The most TD passes in a game made by Brady is six and he did it twice in his career with New England, but perhaps the first is the most important.

He did it in Week 7 of the 2007 season, the one in which they went undefeated until the Super Bowl, against the Miami Dolphins. TB12 threw for 354 yards and Randy Moss and Wes Welker each caught two touchdowns, while Donte ‘Stallworth and Kyle Brady had one per head.

Something curious about the game is that Bill Belichick had already rested Brady with five TDs, but Matt Cassel threw a pick-six and TB12 returned for his sixth touchdown of the game.

9. Record of touchdowns in the franchise

The Brady-Moss connection was one of the most prolific in the quarterback’s history. On November 18, 2007, the Pats crushed the Bills 56-10 with TB12., who found Randy Moss on a six-yard pass to get his touchdown pass number 183 and become the Historic leader of the New England franchise by surpassing Steve Grogan’s 182.

10. Comeback Player of the Year

In the first game of the 2008 season, against the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady suffered a torn ligament that sidelined him for the entire year. By 2009, the quarterback came back as if nothing had happened to him. With 28 TDs, 4,398 yards he was worthy of the Comeback Player of the Year award.

11. 28-3

When the Atlanta Falcons won the Super Bowl LI 28-3 midway through the third quarter, everyone thought it would be impossible for Brady to come back the game and the Patriots to win.

Nevertheless, the quarterback responded with the best comeback in NFL history. Brady got his fourth Super Bowl MVP award after completing 43 of the 62 passes he attempted for 466 yards and getting the Pats to score 25 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and overtime.

12. Sexto Super Bowl

Tom Brady won six Super Bowl rings with the Pats and with the sixth, the quarterback recorded more than many teams in the league.. To achieve this he had to defeat 13-3 to Los Angeles Rams at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 3, 2019.

Although it was not Brady’s best performance, 262 yards with an interception after completing 21 of 35 passes, his work was important for the team to win.
