SAN LUIS POTOSI. Friends of the Zacatecan sculptor and tennis player Juan Manuel de la Rosa presented a Veterans Open Tournament in his honor, which will be held from October 28 to 31 at the Potosino Sports Club.

Norma Méndez, organizer of the tournament, told Pasión Deportiva that year after year Juan Manuel de la Rosa was in tennis competitions in San Luis Potosí, where he participated as a tennis player and sculptor, since he designed several trophies.

“Juan Manuel was a great friend, human being and an excellent teacher, he was an irreparable loss for us, his tennis friends in San Luis Potosí. Always committed, a tennis lover and supporting the San Luis Open Challenger at Easter with his great works ”.

He explained that this tournament seeks to be held year after year as a tribute, so they seek the participation of tennis players from the artist’s land.

The categories range from +30 to +65 and registrations are open by calling 444 451 8229, at a cost of 700 pesos per player and includes a participation kit.

Norma Méndez pointed out that there will be a special tribute during the meal, in addition to the delivery of replicas of her work, where family and friends will be. “We also want the tribute to be installed in the Juan Manuel de la Rosa museum, for his great career and admiration of his friends from San Luis Potosí,” he concluded.
