DKI Jakarta has found its representatives to fight in PON XX Papua 2021 at the branch Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, eFootball PES 2021, and Free Fire. Through a series of qualifying tournaments, they finally found athletes who were ready to bring medals to Jakarta.
Open registration at platform Garudaku, the enthusiasm of the gamers can also be seen with the number of people who register. Since registration was opened, there have been 825 participants for Mobile Legends, 316 participants for the branch Free Fire, 275 players in branch eFootball PES 2021, and 820 participants from PUBG Mobile.

The participants of these four match numbers have gone through the qualification or Pre-PON stage and the regional training stage. In these two stages, ESI DKI cooperates with Gamer’s Paradise in South Jakarta which provides several of its VIP Rooms as a training room for athletes and coordination for officials.
“We are also happy because the qualification for the PON XX Papua 2021 esports exhibition has attracted enthusiasm from gamers. Opened to the public through Garudaku, this provides an opportunity for gamers to become DKI Jakarta esports athletes.” Said Maj. Gen. TNI (Ret.) To be able to step up to PON XX Papua 2021, the selection is indeed quite tight, carried out in a limited time, which is only two weeks. Not a few pro players who registered themselves to be able to defend DKI Jakarta.
“I think that esports matches at PON are quite challenging. You see, some of the pro players who participated in this event already have an esports team. Chemistry may be a challenge, considering they have to form a new team. But, seeing the four branches that have qualified for the final, it seems they are able to adjust quickly,” said Michael Epafras as the Head of the DKI Jakarta Esports Contingent.

Team Free Fire strengthened by Muhammad Haikal (14 years), Muhammad Rafli Setiawan (13 years), Luthfan Aufa Faqih (23 years), and Muladi Ahmad Yasin (20 years). To Mobile Legends, Karsten William Tjugito (15 years), Darren Yapaloma (16 years), Thomas Setyawan (21 years), Daniel (18 years), and Arbi Rizal Haq (22 years).
Tim eFootball PES 2021 there is Elvan Bakkara (31 years old) and Muhammad Abdul Aziz (24 years old). While Team PUBG Mobile reinforced by star players, such as Made “Luxxy” Bagus Pramudita (18 years), Made “Zuxxy” Bagas Prabaswara (18 years), Eksarachman “RedFace” Jayanto (21 years), and Jason “Jayden” (23 years).
