A little over a week from the official start of autumn, here we are dealing with the games due out in October 2021. Of course, last month was marked by numerous important releases such as Diablo II: Resurrected, Deathloop, Tales of Arise e NBA 2K22. However, what unfolds before us is a month marked by releases of equal or even greater importance.

AGE OF EMPIRES IV
In the act of establishing the title in our opinion most important among the games due out in October 2021 we had no doubts. Age of Empires IV it is a mirage that is finally about to become reality after almost 15 years of waiting. Its development by Ensemble Studios officially began shortly after the publication of the third chapter, with the idea of creating a “contemporary” setting. However a few years later Ensemble was disbanded from Microsoft for tax reasons. And after years marked by an online spin-off and remastered old chapters, in 2017 the project saw the light again. Game development officially resumed under the hands of Relic Entertainment, and now the hope is that so much waiting will be generously rewarded.
Age of Empires IV will be released on October 18th on PC.
Let’s now move from one saga to another, in this case with the sixth chapter of the famous Far Cry franchise. A few years away from Far Cry 5 e Far Cry New Dawn, here it is Ubisoft thus preparing to publish Far Cry 6. Which, like many other titles, has also suffered some postponements given by the difficulties in development given by the pandemic. In the title, players will lead a group of revolutionary guerrillas to liberate the island state of Yara Anton Castillo, a brutal leader played by Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Soul, The Boy, The Mandalorian).
Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
Tra i I games due out in October 2021 we could not fail to mention one of the most interesting indies of the year. We are talking about The Riftbreaker, the latest effort of the software house Exor Studios, which most will remember for titles such as Zombie Driver e X-Morph: Defense. Plus this new one action rpg with elements survival and base-building is made with the latest version of the Schmetterling engine. Made entirely by the Polish studio and previously used with the titles just mentioned.
The Riftbreaker will be released on October 14th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
With Demon Slayer (in original Kimetsu no Yaiba) we are talking about one of the most viewed and appreciated animated series of the last two years. Just think that the film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, launched in the box office this year, has had record successes. In the United States, it even became the second most watched anime film ever with around $ 44 million in gross. A real phenomenon that could not be better honored with an adequate dedicated video game. Demon Slayer – The Hinokami Chronicles will be an adventure based on a fighting game, developed by none other than Cyberconnect2. Software house that fans will remember for the memorable series Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and for the most recent Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. So many are the expectations for the work of a studio that has shown a lot of understanding of licensed anime fighting games.
Demon Slayer – The Hinokami Chronicles will be released on October 15th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
Another titles that among the games due out in October 2021 it certainly cannot go unnoticed is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It is easy to think that at first it was imagined as a full-bodied expansion of Marvel’s Avengers. But just as easily Square Enix instead it has focused on the creation of a title in its own right, entrusted to the hands of Eidos Montreal. The interesting aspect is the decisive change of direction with respect to the game dedicated to Marvel heroes. In fact, in the case of Star-Lord and friends it will be an adventure exclusively for single player, with an original plot and lots and lots of action.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on October 26 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Switch.
