The ESG brings together a large number of sports sections which each have their own aficionados: athletics, archery, judo, basketball, table tennis, and many more. Among these activities, climbing, a recent section, particularly fascinates young and old. In the gymnasium, a specially dedicated wall allows for safe training. Malik, 10, has been climbing for a year. “I like to climb. It excites me. Mathis, 12, came to give it a try. No doubt, he will register! “It’s an interesting sport because of the challenge: you have to overcome your fear. “

The coach, Vincent, looks back on the beginnings of the club. “We started two years ago, at the same time as the Covid. It all started quietly, but now the children’s section is full. There are still about ten places for adults. We may have new slots when the dojo opens. Climbing attracts a lot and there are quite a few clubs in the region: Villemandeur, Gien, Lorris… ”. Trainings take place on Wednesdays for children (5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.) and on Fridays for adults (7 to 9 p.m.).

ESG officials, along with their president, are considering a renewed formula to attract even more people next year.
